With the large number of untested sexual assault kits found in police evidence room across the country, the National Institute of Justice funded two studies in Houston and Detroit to identify issues and develop solutions for the investigation of sexual assault cases. The College of Criminal Justice is leading the way in providing strategies for improvements for police departments.
